California nclex rn for IEN

Published

Hi i am an international BSN graduate, already working as an lvn here in california. I just submitted my application for the nclex rn. Yes i am pretty much aware of the concurrency issue. But i also heard of some IEN being eligible after applying from CaBon. I just want to start a thread for all those who are in the same situation as mine, so we can update each other with the process and additional documents that cabon will be asking from us. Thank u soooo much. Merry Christmas.

I see. Congrats again. [emoji106] i will follow up with my application in 2 weeks.

hi guys,

I graduated 2005 (BSN) in the Philippines. i migrated year 2008, same year i applied for cali nclex rn & i got my eligibility, took the test & failed. i applied for retake & took the test 2012 & failed again. last 2013 i reapplied again & i asked to submit my cases which i did & received a letter stating that i need to retake my MS & OB expiration date to complete sept 13, 2016. i felt devastated, i felt that it was unfair & if i passed my 1st or 2nd exam then i don't need to go through all of this. i'm even having hard time looking for a school that will accept me & on top of that, the school that are available is on the east bay area (i don't drive), i am also the bread winner of the family...

i heard recently that CaBon approves more applicants now despite of inconcurrent cases/classes & that *********** (CaBon International analyst) is no longer working/retired that's why most applicants have been approved.

one of my friend told me to let it expire & redo the application from the start.

what's the best thing to do??

thanks guys

If i were you, i would continue to look for schools and individually email community colleges near you. If its still hard to find one and your application expires, reapply and see how it goes. :) try all options

Oh ya! Theres a community college in the bay area that lets you take multiple courses and finish them in 2 months. Idk the whole process but i know you have to personally contact the dean of their college of nursing. Be ready to drop money. my friends sister didnt wait too long to start and now she is licensed. All i have is the name of the school. Heres my email [email protected]

Hello i am staying positive... Still waiting for the letter from the board. I hope i can be one of the few who gets approved. Timeline. Submitted online application nov 6 2015, got a reply after 1 week for the additional docs, my school just submitted the requested docs last january 10 2016, january 15 it was received by the board. I emailed my analyst couple of days ago to update. Haven't replied back to me. Hehe
