California NCLEX LVN test takers and the BVNPT wait/hold up

Okay, so I took my LVN NCLEX on the 20th of January and I'm curious to know if there is a way to see if we as test takers can find out what date there sending out the results for. California is so slow to be a fast state. We dont have quick results!!! I know I should be patient and wait but things have changed for me already this year and I'm in need of a good well paying job ASAP. Also is it possible for us to go to Sacramento to pay for our license when we get the results? I've heard people say some employers don't accept the temporary license and that they want your actual license number. If someone can resolve some of my questions it would be really helpful. Employers verify your license by phone, fax, letter, or the internet. You don't have to worry about it after you get your results. You will just have to be patient. It could come up in a couple of days, a couple of weeks, or a couple of months. Assume the best and get ready for job hunting. Good luck.

Once you take the exam you cant get a temporary liscense you just have to wait to get your results.

I took the NCLEX RN on Sat (Feb 6th). My name is listed under the 'permanent licensure' database as of today. YMMV.

Congrats however the OP is asking about LVN not RN and things are slightly different in CA as dealt by another nursing board

once you get your results in the mail saying that you passed, you can go to the bvnpt place in sacramento, and they will give you a temporary license and you should be able to work with that... while you wait for your card in the mail...

HI CONGRATS!! @mschrissie, so from your 1st post till this one it took 30 days for you to know that you passed? i took my nclex-pn 6/18. Should i be hopeful that i will know my results in the coming week?:redbeathe

Hopefully you will within the coming week. It depends on how busy they are over in Sacramento. But pray and hope for this coming week!!!!!

Yes you can go pay the fee for the license in Sac and pick it up the day you receive your License information.

Does anyone have a ballpark on how long it takes for the BVNPT in CA to post licenses on their website?? I sent in my letter and $150 one day ago and have heard that often times, it is posted soon after they receive payment. I have a job offer and am just waiting to get my license number!
