California NCLEX delays

Published

Hello,

i graduated from nursing school in May 2017 and I soon after applied to take my NCLEX with the California board of Nursing. It is now almost August and the board is experiencing major delays in processing applications and I probably won't be able to take the test for at least another couple of months (if I'm lucky). I've seen a lot of people say that the chances of passing get lower the longer you wait to take the test but I really have no other options available to me. Does anyone have any advice on this situation or is anyone experiencing something similar? Any advice would help!!

I have moved your post to the NCLEX forum (vs. the post-grad forum that is for MSN, DNP, etc.) to encourage responses. Good luck!

FYI if your a new applicant it takes them more time to process your paperwork. You should review content areas that you think you struggle with, there is always room for improvement. Do practice questions and condition yourself for the test as you wait for your ATT. PREP PREP PREP get used to the different styles of questions. the more time you have to study the more you realize your weaknesses and on the upside you don't have to cram information in a short amount of time. Don't be anxious you'll just psych yourself out relax and things will fall into place at the right time.
