California BRN question

Could use a little help, I searched the forums but didn’t see anything conclusive. Has anyone transferred an Indiana license to California? I read the California educational requirements and see that the clinical hours for their schools is 864 hours. I went to a school that did only 765 hours. My interpretation is that I do not qualify for endorsement but wanted to make sure I was reading it right. I see a lot of people didn’t have the communication class and made it through so I didn’t know if this applied to me or not. Thank you.

Once you have any state R.N. licensure, you may apply for reciprocity (endorsement) to the California Board of Nursing. It's a fairly straight forward process; apply, pay the required fees for processing and a background check?, submit fingerprints, and take any mandated CEU requirements-I can't recall what California's is off the top of my head. With that being said, the process can be tedious and time consuming-my license took about two months but I think the usual wait time is more like three.

I don't think California BRN looks too hard if you have been a practicing RN for awhile (but it is slow). I was all worried because my nursing program back in 2012 did not require micro so I didn't have it. They did not find any deficiencies and the endorsement went smoothly (but SLOW- 4 months).
