California BRN license verification.

Nursing Students NCLEX

Does anyone know whether or not the California BRN website updates it's licensing verification every hour? or QD? I took the exam 1/30/06 and answered questions to 75. Still no results this 2/2/06 morning. It seems like the average person who passes at 75 gets their results within 2-3 days? Is this true.

Sorry, but you have the wrong information. No one in CA has ever gotten their license posted in two days. The earliest that I have ever seen is one or two at three days, then the earliest is four days, average is at least one week, and can go to three or four weeks to get passing results.

Pearson-Vue sends results to BRN, then they are manually placed in your file. Once your file is complete, it goes to a human reviewer to be checked. At that time only, once it is complete and accepted, is there a license number issued to you.

Do you know for a fact that your school submitted your transcripts in a timely fashion to the BRN? CA will let you take the exam before they have a completed file on you, your name just has to be on a list submitted by your school that you are expected to graduate.

Just sit tight.................:wink2:

This is the 2nd time that I have taken the exam. Should it be on file with the California BRN already? Thanks for the reassurance.

I took my NCLEX today and callled the BRN to verify that my file was complete. After a little fishing, I was told that Pearvue electronically transmits your results and the BRN know sometimes within an hour after your test (my results were not in) :uhoh3: . They are not allowed to give results over the phone and they abide by that. However, sometimes you will get hints...i.e. keep looking at the website, or don't worry. My test stopped at 75. I did really good or really bad. I felt like I was going to throw up afterwards. Good luck. I'm sure that you did well!!

Your completed file still needs to be reviewed by a human, and there is no specifics as to when they have post your license number.

Wish that I could offer more, but I can't.

They still need to place your results in your file, and then the completed file needs to be reviewed by a human.

And those aren't hints, they do not know until your file is reviewed.

I took my test in California on 1/30/06 and found out exactly 3 days later. My results showed up on 2/2 at 2:57 in the am. So I guess I am one of the few that found out in three days. Another one of my friends found out in three days too but for someone else in our class it took 9 days so you never know.

CONGRATULATIONS MARIE CLAIRE.

Good luck IS Fizzle, I will send you the good vibes and prayers.

Thanks for the info Serenity. I've had friends that received their results in 3 days or later also. I'd rather have the BRN punch my license number into the system in late than never. I pray and want to start working!
