Tips on Prioritizing patient tasks??
when I asked the question, I meant it with the intent of having the question answered from the "NCLEX world" instead of the "real world" perspective.

Tips on Prioritizing patient tasks??
Hello peeps, Just wondering if you any of you can give me tips on how to tackle prioritizing patient care tasks?? Thanks Example: A patient scheduled for a laproscopic cholesystectomy. Teaching the daughter of a patient medication regimen. Giving report to a RN. A patient requiring a dressing change. In which order would you do these??

Anybody else taken NCLEX-RN in CA?
Hey spejsa. Im in the same boat as you. I've been waiting for almost 3 weeks (3 weeks on Monday). nothing. no internet results. no mail. I called the BRN today and the lady looked up my information. Told me I should receive my results in the "mail" but didnt tell me anything else. I took what she said as a no pass due to the way she said it. Hopefully Im wrong and that the BRN-CA is still in the process of punching in my info for "passing". I figured if the results aren't on the web in the morning and the nothing from the BRN comes in the mail, then Im still in the game.

After waiting for three weeks....I passed
Ahhh, well I hope its not a precursor to getting bad news from the Ca-BRN through the mail.

I am still praying that I passed
Hey Spejsa and Mikey, I'm also in the same boat as you guys. I took my California RN exam on 1/30. Still waiting patiently (but getting more anxious as the days past). Today, I received some Nclex course review material in the mail, which doesnt make me feel any better. Wondering if you guys have received crap in the mail too. I'm starting to feel the news is going to be not good because of this mail. Kinda like a hint of whats to come.

After waiting for three weeks....I passed
Congrats Jake, Gives me hope as I have been waiting since the 1/30. Question. Did you receive any pamphlets for review material through the mail during your results wait?? Because I just received a review course pamphlet from some school through the mail today. \I'm starting to think that I may have not passed.

California BRN license verification.
Thanks for the info Serenity. I've had friends that received their results in 3 days or later also. I'd rather have the BRN punch my license number into the system in late than never. I pray and want to start working!

California BRN license verification.
This is the 2nd time that I have taken the exam. Should it be on file with the California BRN already? Thanks for the reassurance.

Kaplan or NCSBN learning extension?
A-team, I studied with both the Kaplan and NCSBN learning extension courses. The Kaplan book was very helpful in understanding the questioning structure of the exam. The NCSBN is the closest thing to the exam in terms of questioning (as they are supposedly the "brains" behind developing the NCLEX-RN). There are many priority questions on the exam (it is definitely not cut and dry like practice exams). NCSBN questions help by familiarizing you with those tough NCLEX-RN priority questions. Just my 2 cents for all those people who are contemplating these classes. Goodluck!

California BRN license verification.
Does anyone know whether or not the California BRN website updates it's licensing verification every hour? or QD? I took the exam 1/30/06 and answered questions to 75. Still no results this 2/2/06 morning. It seems like the average person who passes at 75 gets their results within 2-3 days? Is this true.
