California Breeze Application Process - Please HELP!!

U.S.A. California

I applied to take the NCLEX RN (BSN) Feb 10th 2017, I got a letter last Friday saying that I needed to include my fingerprints, which I did. I uploaded my livescan paperwork when I completed my online application. Also, when I log on my application is no longer there. It used to say "pending" but since last Monday there is nothing. I've been calling them since January and I've never gotten anyone on the phone. I called at 7:59AM (they open at 0800), the machine said they were closed. I immediately hung up, and called at 0800, the machine said they had a high volume of calls and of course, ended the call on its own. This has been clockwork for the past 3 months. I have left messages and emails and I never get a response. I live in Oceanside so I can't just go to them easily. If anyone has any info I'd be so grateful!

Call your state Assembly member. I called mine and was immediately helped. They appear to be very familiar with the BRN and the nightmare that it is!

I applied on Dec 27th my submission was January 11, 2017 and I just received my license on march 24th, 2017. I applied for an endorsement license. Yes, calling them is a nightmare and on my days off I would call them around the clock with no luck. Until, 2weeks before being on hold for 1hr and 45min. California needs to do better. I know some people who applied for license before me and still haven't received theirs. Smh

Thank you! I did exactly this and they were able to help. It took maybe two weeks or so. I was finally able to get someone from the Board on the phone. I told them of how horrible it had been trying to get someone on the phone and about the letter they sent. The man could only confirm that "You did not include you fingerprints, I do not see them. The letter that we sent you says you didn't include your fingerprints. You can fax them and the letter to the Board or bring them personally because your fingerprints were not included." Which I knew was a lie! So I asked was he able to see the files that I attached to my application, he said yes, and then I directed him to ACTUALLY LOOK AT THE FILES. He puts me on hold and comes back and says "oh yes I do see them". WHAT?!?! Yea, I know you see them because I sent them! It was unbelievable how easy it was for him and whoever initially looked at my application to be so lazy and not actually look. This wasted 2.5 months of my time because they didn't actually look. He then tells me that he will send an email to their fingerprint department and to call back in two weeks. That same morning, the woman who I had been emailing back and forth at my Assembly members's office emailed me saying that they had been able to fix the issue and I had been approved. Thank God! I'm sorry for my rant. But I really owe you a huge thanks because had you not suggested this I wouldn't have known at all about seeking help from my Assembly member. So Thank You soooo much!!!!!

It is horrible! I felt awful just sitting here as time passed by, calling and calling, emailing them with no response what so ever. Literally joining Allnurses.com was one of my final options to see if anyone knew how to make this horrible ordeal go by any faster and I'm so glad that I did because KrissyBe's advice is what saved me! I have felt like such a "downer" and failure because all of my nursing school buddies were passing their NCLEX and getting jobs meanwhile I'm just stuck waiting. I graduated in Dec 2016, there is no reason why I shouldn't have taken the NCLEX by now. I'm just gad that I can finally move forward and actually put 4 years of college to use. I really wish someone could give them a wake up call, the way they run that business is horrible. I'm glad you were able to get your license and I hope to have mine soon!

Also, if you ever need to speak with anyone at the board, press 0. there is no "0" option, I pressed it by accident and thats how I got through to the guy. Weird. Strange. Just awful. Just press 0 lol. My hold times ranged form 7 to 12 minutes, I did have to redial but I did get that "high call volume" automated message a lot less thus I wasn't automatically hung up on. The first time I tried the dial 0 I got through with a 7 minute hold time. I hope this tid bit of info helps someone!

You are very welcome! I'm glad I could help! BTW, I also complained to the Dept. of Consumer Affairs about them, and to the Governor's office. They need to hear from people in order to know to fix it!

Update: I took the NCLEX Monday and Passed! I've been a registered nurse for a full 48 hours lol

Hi! Same thing has happened to me. After months of waiting my application from breeze has disappeared. No luck getting through. Did they tell you why? I have mailed and faxed my finger prints twice already.

They wouldn't admit that they over looked my form which is exactly what happened. After directing him to actually LOOK at the files he said he saw them after first denying that they were there. If this is your 2nd time sending your prints I definitely recommend contacting your state assembly member, the BoN will continue to give you the run around. Do yourself a favor and contact your assembly member. The BoN is a joke some times

I applied late may, and have been checking my status and just noticed this morning that my license application has disappeared. I have not received an ATT yet, but my IP application is still pending. What does this mean?

It's under review. That's what that usually means. Just look out for an email approving you to test. Or look for a letter in the mail approving you to test or telling you that you need to send more paperwork. They usually send a letter rather than an email but look for both. Your breeze account will not change until you've passed or failed the NCLEX so don't depend on that website to tell you if you've been approved or not. You should get an email or letter in the mail with further instructions. I'd wait a week from the day you noticed the info was gone. That's when I got a letter saying they needed my fingerprints, which they had. So just give it time then call the BoN. If you don't get an answer by following their machines instructions, call back and just press 0. Hope this helps!
