Hey guys,

I wanted to start a new thread for CBU's ELMSN program. Who is all applying and how are you doing with the apps?

Good Luck

I'll be interviewing on the 9th! Fingers crossed for the both of us! I'm really not sure what to expect as far as the group interview goes, yikes! I think for the photo I am going to try to take it myself.

yayyy good luck and feel me in on how it goes

Hi there!! I can't believe I found a thread for the CBU ELMSN program!! I didn't think one existed!! I feel like I am joining this thread a little late so my apologies.. How is everyone??!! I have my interview tomorrow at 1 pm! Yikes!! But I am excited!!

hello there,

I am a wee bit nervous too because I have two nursing interviews in Feb soo I am preparing myself for the best. Good Luck to you:-).

I know there are hardly any threads for CBU so I'm glad I can start this one for us future nurses:-)

Hi everyone!

I too have an interview for Feb. 10th at 9:00am. Good luck to everyone who have applied and are interviewing in the next week.

I've taken my photos at Costco. They're $6 and they'll print it out within minutes. And they let you retake it if you don't like the picture!

Good luck again to everyone! If anyone is interviewing Feb. 10th hopefully I'll see you there!

Hi hannabanna,

It looks like I will see you on the 10th as well. I will definitely check out Costco for the photos. Thanks again hannabanana.

Are you guys applying to any other programs besides CBU?

I am so glad that you started this chat.. From what I understand the interview is very relaxed so don't fret. Where else are you going to interview?? I will post how the interview goes!! great luck to you!! :-)

Me too :-)

Ok now that will ease up the stress, I heard they're not to shabby as well, as long as you speak from the heart and you can convey why nursing is right for you, but interviews overall make me nervous to say the least.

My next interview is with University of San Diego:).

Good Luck to everyone and I hope your interviews go smoothly.

Hey everyone I just did my interview yesterday whew glad it's over. How did you guys think you did. I didn't think it was hard but I gave it the best I can. I heard from the faculty they had about 70 apps for 40 spots so I hope we are the lucky hopefuls.

Hello everyone. I am glad that the interview is over, too.. Dr. Meyer and Dr. Bursch seem incredibly nice and welcoming. I hope that we get in. Our group was told that there were sixty applicants!! Oh my.. 60 sounds better then 70.. Lol.. All we can do now is wait I suppose. Fingers crossed.

So how many applicants do we think were interviewed in total compared to how many spots there are? I know in my interview there were 10 of us. I thought that the interview was a lot less intimidating than I thought it would be, especially considering there were only two questions. I found it really hard to read them though, and just hope I didn't talk as fast as I think I did!

Lol.. I thought I was the only one speaking insanely and unnaturally fast.. There were 9 students in my group.. And ten in yours.. And 5 groups (I think).. So maybe 45-50 applicants that they interviewed.

Well, I hope that we all get in, fingers crossed! If there are 40 spots and 45-50 interviewed I think it would at least make a little bit of sense that everyone that was interviewed would either get in or be an alternate?

Hey everyone! I hope you guys all did well on the interview! I felt like I didn't speak that much about myself compared to the others because Marilla had said to keep it brief. There were so many other things I wished I discussed about myself to them!

But there were only 8 students in our group! It was supposed to be originally 9 but 1 didn't show because that person got stuck in traffic!! I felt so bad for him/her but I wonder if they were able to reschedule or not...

But I'm hoping that we all get chosen in the program!!! Maybe they'll add more students this year so we all can get in!

Dont worry! There were a couple in my group that spoke longer than anyone else and I noticed that Dr. Meyer and Dr. Bursch were zoning out a little bit. It will be better than to be brief than to speak too much and risk the interviewer getting distracted. :)
