Hey guys,

I wanted to start a new thread for CBU's ELMSN program. Who is all applying and how are you doing with the apps?

OMG congrats I was so scared I would not get in considering my scores, this is my third interview and I will definitely prepare this time. I already bought some dress pants but I might buy more hahahahaha. I want to look as neat as possible for the interview :-). What day are you going? We will be fine, I heard from friends in their BSN program and they said the questions they got was why do want to be a nurse? why CBU? things to that extent.. but sooo excited

Yay, congrats to you too! I asked for the 9th or the 10th because it is such short notice and I feel so unprepared because the only other interview I have done so far is the one for APU over the phone. Do you know your date? Any tips?

Me too because it is a little too soon and you would rather be prepared vs underprepared. You got a phone interview with aPU that's crazy I had to drive to sd for mines and I don't think it was not really worth the drive. Also, my interview with them was more of a discussion, maybe about two actual questions. CBU is more than willing to give us a chance to be nurses and that's what's the goal here:-)If you would like to, we should meet up so we can prep well for the interview. If you can because I am unable to pm you, is it possible if you email me or I can email you tips for the interview that would work in our advantage. I can also email you some questions I got from my previous interview:up:

Hi hi! Just saw this thread. I have also applied to CBU's EL MSN program. I had to pick from Feb. 2nd, 3rd, and 5th for my interview dates. Wish I had an extra week like you guys. :(

My stats-PAX was 123, didn't take GRE, I don't know my GPA but I do know I only had one B the rest As from my last 60 units, and I was a PreMasters student at CBU all of last yr. Not sure if being in the PreM program helps but I was able to get a particular letter of recommendation from a professor at CBU that Marilla recommended to everyone at the November application meeting.

I am definitely now nervous knowing I'm one of the first groups to go. Can't really ask anyone what type of questions will be asked. I can help you guys out tho. :)

Hey welcome, I'm glad this thread is soo active now lol.

Congrats on the interview and good luck. I thought there were three interview dates because I had between the 5th, 9th or 10th. I kind of wonder how many applicants and how many spots CBU will have. I took both GRE and PAX, but scores could be better. standardized tests get me the worst test anxiety.:no:.

yes that would be awesome if you can help us out. I wonder if it will be a group or individual interview. I can also email you some interview tips. It would help all of us out since we all want to get in.

I use to attend CBU back in 2009 so the campus has definitely underwent renovations. I hope they would expand the number of seats but who knows. Either way I wish you all Good luck :-)

Yeah, I thought there were three too. In the application workshop they said it will be a group interview- around 8 people. As far as how many get accepted I know they accept 40. Last yr there was talk about adding more, but not sure if they are.

Your stats look great and I am sure you will do fine. Did you ever go to an info session during the summer cause I'm almost positive we might have cross paths. Did you go when KB was hosting it. I will definietely email you some questions I had in my other interviews as well as some I came across with. Please let us know how that ges, group interviews are a bit nerve wraking for sure lol. What day are you interviewing? I hope they can squeeeze more than 40, I mean look how large their BSN class is and also their constant construction going on. Do you know how many apps there are? I am guessing it is a handful now considering now there is more than three interviw sessions. Fingers crossed

hey everyone,

So it looks like my interview date is scheduled for Feb 10th good luck to my future lancers :-). Quick Question, is anyone going to a photo place etc.. for the required headshot photos cause I am looking for the cheapest place where I can get them done.

I'll be interviewing on the 9th! Fingers crossed for the both of us! I'm really not sure what to expect as far as the group interview goes, yikes! I think for the photo I am going to try to take it myself.

Hi there!! I can't believe I found a thread for the CBU ELMSN program!! I didn't think one existed!! I feel like I am joining this thread a little late so my apologies.. How is everyone??!! I have my interview tomorrow at 1 pm! Yikes!! But I am excited!!

Hi everyone!

I too have an interview for Feb. 10th at 9:00am. Good luck to everyone who have applied and are interviewing in the next week.

I've taken my photos at Costco. They're $6 and they'll print it out within minutes. And they let you retake it if you don't like the picture!

Good luck again to everyone! If anyone is interviewing Feb. 10th hopefully I'll see you there!
