Hi, everyone. Good morning!! I hope that you all are well. I just wanted to share that I have started a Facebook page for our upcoming cohort. just search CBU EL-MSN summer 2015 cohort. Please post anything that you might find helpful for our class. I don't know if anyone else has searched for all white shoes, but I have and I haven't had too much luck, so if anyone is willing to share what they find that would be wonderful. :-)

Hey guys! I posted a question to the FB page, but I don't know that everyone is on the page now or not, so I figured I would ask here to. I understand that for the pre-licensure portion of the program, we must do our clinicals wherever we are placed/called to. For the post-licensure portion of the program, I would like to do the FNP path. Do you think it would be okay to do the clinicals for FNP path anywhere? Like potentially back in my home town, and commute once a week to Riverside for class? Thanks guys!

Hey guys,

im having a hard time finding that group on fb. Regarding the white shoes, Marilla mentioned to me that we would be paired with a mentor and that's a good question to ask them. I'm also still looking for a roommate :)

To all those that were accepted to CBU:

I am attending an information soon and plan on applying during the next application cycle. I am a career changing and looking to get into an EL-MSN program. I was wondering if you'd be able to tell me what your admission stats were, or if you'd be able to tell me if I look competitive. I'm trying to determine if I have a reasonable shot at being accepted.

Cumulative GPA - 3.27

Science GPA - 3.43

I still have about 24 units left or so of courses being taken this spring, summer, and fall to apply by the end of the next application period in December. I should be able to get very good grades, mostly A's and planning for a B or two just to be realistic. I'm suspecting my GPA would probably be around the following once I'm done:

Cumulative GPA - 3.38

Last 60 Units -3.67

Science - 3.53

Other qualifications include:

- EMT-B license (no employment history)

- 5 Years Law Enforcement Experience as a Police Officer

- United States Army Veteran

- 3 Months Volunteer in an Emergency Room

- NP Shadowing Hours

- 750 volunteer hours to the community as a volunteer with a local Sheriff's Department

- Wife is an RN

I hope someone sees this and is able to respond, but for all of you who went through with the program at Cal Baptist, how was your experience? I don't see many student reviews of the program and the only one I could find was a very disgruntled review about that lack of quality of the nursing program. It scared me a bit, so I was hoping that I could get different opinions of how the program is. Thank you to anyone that provides their review of the EL MSN program.
