Calhoun Comm College Fall 2015

We've got several months until application time opens for Fall 2015. I assume it'll open sometime in May, maybe April if we're lucky! Does anyone already have it on their brain like I do :up: Hoping to make it in the program for Fall 2015 & would love to chat with some other folks that have ants in their pants too!

I think more may find us once the deadline passes. I've been trying to keep busy. My son has a birthday party in 2 weeks so that's where I'm trying to focus my attention. But it's hard. Have you applied anywhere else?

Well that's good that you've got some extra things going on to keep you occupied. I haven't applied anywhere else and I don't plan to. Are you or have you applied elsewhere?

My first choice is CCC. I'm going to apply to Jeff State as well but I would turn them down in a heartbeat for Calhoun's PTE program. It works better with my schedule.

So this may sound silly but it's been driving me batty. On the application checklist page under humanities it gives a list that you could choose from. Sociology wasn't on the list but it's a humanities course. Will any humanities course suffice? I highlighted my sociology grade bc it was an A.now I'm nervous and wondering if I should have gone with one of the ones listed. I tried to call and verify but a student kept telling me to call the Humanities Dept. So frustrating!

I completely understand about the humanities! I wanted to put my sociology on it as well but I fugured I'd put philosophy since I took that also. I put my philosophy just to be on the safe side but I imagined that it was just listed humanity courses 'for example.' I think you're fine though & shouldn't sweat it.

Hi everyone here. I'm also applying to CCC Fall 2015. Very nervous about the new point system as well. And have been looking for anyone out there who also was applying. So excited to meet you all!!!!

Glad to have you here AceOnC! What program will you be applying to? The new point system is frightening since we have no clue what the majority of points people may have. Feel free to share your point value if you don't care, but more importantly we're glad to have you here and now we can share the struggle of waiting together! Hooray! Are you applying for LPN, Full time ADN or part time ADN?

Welcome AceOnc! So tomorrow our wait officially begins! I am hoping that they are able to let us know fairly quickly. They probably got hundreds of applicants. Good luck to us all!

BackwoodsBarbie I just spoke with the nursing department and she confirmed that my Sociology was fine. That made me feel a lot better. Now we wait!
