Cal State Univ, Northridge Accelerated BSN (A-BSN) 2013

Hey guys! Are there any individuals here applying for CSUN's ABSN program for the Summer/Fall 2013? I'm currently applying and would love to hear from those who are into this as well. I'm still finishing up my prerequisites this Fall 2012 but I'll be submitting my application soon. Just reply to this topic to share/discuss anything about the application process...hopefully we all see this to the home-stretch next year :)

Hi everyone, don't like to be negative Nancy, but at this point those who got no news at all, it means, they were not accepted. I am just like u, no news at all. But I know those who were accepted for fall and even spring got an email already according to nursing department. So that says something, right???

To those of you still waiting to hear, a glimmer of hope..

While it seems that the summer and fall cohorts are full at the moment, and there doesn't appear to be an official wait list (yet), there's always a chance that folks may decline admission, especially after all of the nursing school decisions have been sent out for other programs. A student joined the CSUN Summer cohort a few days ago after someone decided not to attend.

So, while I'm not suggesting that admission is likely at this point, it's certainly far from impossible, especially for the Fall cohort. There are CSUs that haven't even given their first-round notifications for Fall yet, so you never know how things might shift within the next month or two. I wouldn't pass up other admission offers to wait on CSUN, but I've heard of people getting admitted to nursing programs right up to the first day of class, if not afterward. I also heard that they might be having a Spring cohort as well, so who knows.

I'll be rooting for ya!

Ok they have spring cohort and they already sent acceptance letter and waiting list letters according to nursing department :(:(

Yes, they definitely have a spring cohort, and I know someone who has gotten in. Since spring is a bit further away, there is still a chance to get in for spring especially if they give up their seat for another school.
