Me too, got my conditional acceptance email today for Temecula!

Yay! Congrats you guys!

Me three!! Should we worry about the "conditional" part at all?

Now that's over with, what are you guys thinking about housing?

Congrats to everyone :D

No, the conditional just means we need to have our prerequisites done before school starts, and mine were done last December.

PS for those that want to know, I had 32 points and was about to submit another class grade which would have given me 36 points had I not gotten in this round.

And all this time I was preparing to send another application to Azusa with 3 new recommendation letters and all. I'm glad San Marcos lets you know exactly what you need and where you stand on getting in.

after a year of reading other peoples messages, I get to finally ask:

Is anyone else gonna be commuting from SD up to Temecula like me?

Excellent question mimzan! I've been looking into this for the past couple of months (my previous username on here was mxmestiza BTW). I'm coming from Sacramento so I can't really house hunt much but I would prefer to room with other nursing students. If what I read everywhere is true, I expect school to be very difficult and I would like to live with those going through the same thing. :)

Housing is pretty affordable from what I've seen online, especially when it's split. Anyone else done some research into this?

Good point, djexpress! I think after retaking my TEAS I had 33 and finished my prereqs in December. Good luck everyone, I was beginning to look for a new job!

I will look into this more during the weekend. I will send you a personal message on here letting you know what I find!

Having lived in SD for my first BS, I think the longest commute I'd sanely commit to would be from Vista/San Marcos. Things to keep in mind: clinicals are all over the county and Temecula is pretty suburban.

Yea, I'm in PQ, which is about 7 miles south of San Marcos, but directly off the 15. It takes me 45 minutes to get to Temecula.

I'm not passing up this offer to wait 4 more months for the San Marcos cohort, because who knows what will happen as there are probably close to 600-1000 applicants.

I think the Temecula cohort will still do clinicals around norther San Diego county as CSUSM is part of the San Diego Nursing Consortium.

Plus, I think parking in Temecula is free, whereas San Marcos is like $300-400 for a parking pass.

Sorry, my last post was in haste and I wasn't clear. :) I think we should all start in Temecula! But for me, I think Vista or San Marcos is about as far south as I would look. It's equidistant (~45 min) away from central SD and Temecula and 20 min away from the coast.
