I've heard that you can find out if you've passed by checking the license verification section on the BRN website - how soon after taking the exam are you likely to see yourself listed there if you've passed? Anyone know???What if an outside agency needed to verify if you'd passed - will they tell them or do they have to wait too???
Hi kcocat,
It took about 5 business days before I saw my license number on the BRN website in July of this year and those seemed to feel like the longest days I have every experienced :wink2:. Unfortunately I don't have any advice about outside agencies being able to verify if you passed. Good Luck.
The employer will not find out any sooner than you, once you are issued a license, then it will be posted and they can verify it on the site for the BRN. There is no way for any employer to find out any earlier than you. They use the same site as you would to check for licensure verification.
Three to ten days is the average wait but during holiday time, it can be longer. And if the file is not complete, then it can take up to a month or so.
Best of luck to you.

suzanne,
I just want to know where you get the information about the 3-10 day average, all my classmates said ist 2-3 days. I took the NCLEX 1-22-09 and its been 3 business days, and the license verification is still coming up empty....starting to get very worried.
FYI - I took the exam on the 7th & didn't find out until last Friday, the 23rd. My school hadn't sent in the coversheet with my transcripts, so that was the hold up. You might want to make sure that all the little things like that were taken care of, otherwise it will definitely delay your results. I received my RN wallet card yesterday, so I'm guessing they mailed that out the same Friday my name was posted on the BRN site.
So far most everyone in my class was stopped @ 75 questions and all who were stopped there have passed. We all had many questions relating to prioritizing & delegating care, if that helps anyone at all...
