Ca BRN Website License check?

Sorry admins if this is the wrong forum section;

I took my nclex last thursday, Oct 3, finished the exam at 2 pm and went on the Ca BRN website, apparently it went down on oct 3 for an update and the license verification just re-opened today Oct 8, I got the good pop-up / PVT, but i'm still not listed under the registry. Anybody know how long it usually takes to see your name on it? Thanks.

@TPTM - during the registration you link your "license" with your account (have to provide last 4 of SSN and DOB). That's where I "think" I saw my license number. On the quick start page though, my application is listed as pending. Not sure......let me know how it works for you!

@ric63, thanks for the info! I think it will take awhile for mine since I took the NCLEX very recently, but yes I think when you link your "license" that is hopefully where it will pop up.

Just wondering though, where on the quick start page do you see your application listed as pending? Is it under License Activities?

@TPTM, on the quick start page, under view application status, initial RN license by exam - status:pending. I tested last Saturday.

I just got off the phone with the BRN, I didn't even ask about when it will post online because he doesn't know.

I asked how the BRN will notify me if I passed? He said that we should expect a certificate in the mail ~5-7 business days after they get results. he asked when I tested, I told him the 09th (wed), he said it should be another 5 business days. He said that the actual RN card will come within a couple weeks after that

I did just do the breeze registration online and linked my "licenses". The license # posted is my IP license #, it's not a new one. Although I did not see an application status anywhere, but I will go back and check. I'm fairly confident that I passed ((75 qs & good pop-up)) but like all of you, just want real confirmation.

@jmira, yeah same here I tested Oct 9 and I just see my IP license #. I'm guessing maybe we would see a pending status after a couple days since we tested so recently. Whichever it is whether it's a certificate or something online, I hope we hear something soon!

I do not have a "view application status" under my quick start yet, It is probably too soon for me since it's only been 48 hours since I tested. But hopefully this will be all situated soon.

Just another small hurdle on our RN journey! lol :cat:

@jmira & TPTM - i'm not sure what an IP license is. The number I think is my license number is a new one for me - doesn't appear on any prior paperwork. Will be interesting to see if it actually is the license number. In any case, i'll let you know when I hear something.

That's what I meant by their system going down, they're unaffected by the government shutdown, the brn is simply upgrading their software for license verification.

I called the ca BRN today, they said to give it at least until Friday add the system is updated midnight each night, and to be cautious because they're still smoothing the data transfer between Pearson and the brn. So far I'm just going by the pvt.

@ric63, oh an IP means Interim Permit. I applied for one and that is the only license number I see under my name. But yes, lets please share updates!

Just registered online and I tested oct 3. It says license pending and when I click details it says "open". I have a number for my interim permit but that's from the first time I tested an failed I believe.
