CA BRN approved Mental/physical Exams

Does anyone have any recommendations for BRN approved mental/physical exam providers in Southern CA, near Riverside County? I don't want to waste time or money on a person(s) the board won't approve. Please PM me as I know we can't post providers/lawyers in posts. TIA!

what part of CA are you in and do you have health insurance?

I am in Northern California. And I have Kaiser, but they have not been helpful at all with this process.

Look for Specialists in addictionology. When you call ask if the provider is a QME (Qualified Medical Evaluater) These physicians are qualified to testify in court and will give you a good solid evaluation. Just make sure they are not affiliated with a treatment center as they might evaluate you right into treatment.

Thank you for that information, I appreciate It. That's why I wanted to do my own instead of waiting for the board to mandate it because I've heard stories of nurses being mandated and the ones the BRN approves gives them a SUD seemingly to get them into their facility. I figured if I have my own and one of theirs and they are different then there's a problem.

 Just so you know any effort you you make to advocate for yourself might be seen as relapse behavior. There nothing in the  literature to prove this concept but the BON uses it to hold over your head and make you to the line. If the two evaluations differ with the independent in your favor I would as for a hearing with the BON at their quarterly meating.
