C.O.D LPN alternate list

Published

Well, I'm sad to say I did not get into the LPN program at College of Dupage. They did write that I was on the alternate list, but I don't know how many people are put on the list. anyone else on the alternate list? :crying2:

Only accredited because they changed to a pre-bachelor program. you aren't done when you finish the ADN, you need to complete the BSN to have it accredited. The phone number is on the website to get further information. The LPN program is accredited.

You are not making any sense. "You need to complete the BSN to have it accredited". What? The community colleges around here are NLN Accredited and COD will be too in 2011. COD has Candidate status right now.

Exactly what I said. Adnrnstudent are you a COD student?

Yes, 2nd year.

Thank you for replying! I have been wanting to talk to someone in the program to see how they like it. So how is it? Is it as difficult as you thought? Also, how was the application process when you started ( based on the PAx or gpa). Thanks ahead of time!

Trying to send you a private message. Do you have your settings set where no one can PM you?

Try again. I looked at settings everything is enabled to receive messages

I guess I need to have 15 posts 1st. Let me work on that.

Do you know how COD allocates points for admission? Are science classes weighted more heavily than non-science? Would I be able to contact the adviser to determine my point total before I apply?

Thanks for the link. I don't quite understand how to determine which 8 classes COD will consider for the GPA calculation. I should probably just make an appointment with an advisor once I start my application.

Can you get on im? I got some info to share with you.

I'm on IM now...

Adviser Jim Ryan can help.
