Butte College RN Program Spring 2020

I just applied for the first time for Spring 2020, but was reading other threads that said some people had to apply 7 times before getting in (that was in 2014 though)!!! Is anyone applying to the program for the first time or again? What seems to the number of times people are applying these days before they get in?

It's my 7th time reapplying & today I got an email from Michelle letting me know I am #3 on the alternate list. If I claim the spot and no one drops out or is unable to do the program in the Spring 2022 then I'll be guaranteed a spot for Fall 2022. I'm gonna claim my spot, but I'm not holding my breath or getting my hopes up that anyone will drop out this Spring 2022. Guess the 8th time will be it. ?‍♀️

I was #18 on the alternate list on my 7th application, and I got in for the class that started this semester! Obviously you can never guarantee it, but I'd say your chances if you're at #3 are pretty good ?

The reason they have a waitlist even for 7th time applicants is because students have been deferring there spots from previous applications since the program (lectures) currently are online due to covid, meaning 7th time applicants from the Spring 2021 application cycle and possibly even 2020 fall deferred spots and they get first seats during the next cycle so even if it is your 7th time applying for this cycle, you still might have few spots going to previous 7th time applicants from the cycle before. Your chances at #3 are still good, you WILL get in!
