No particular stethoscope. Get a decent one but you don't need to get like the top one. Littman is a well known quality brand

No particular brand they just say by the same brand top and bottom because the different brands tend to have slightly different shades. Scrubs beyond greys anatomy spandex ones are hella comfortable (you may even size down but not for sure) but you get them in Bahama. You only need 2 pairs for your two lab days. Also if you want to spend the dollars clove shoes are the most comfortable (I don't have them but everyone who does loves them)

Yeah there's a lot more, it would be a lot to type all that out. There fundamentals of nursing by potter et Al. And dimensional analysis is your math book by hornyvedt, and Health Assessment for Nursing by Wilson and Giddens. I'll Try to send photos of the schedule that had the reading. Not to say it would t change but that's what we had this semester.

We buy our own scrubs in Caribbean blue. And we have to have ALL black shoes including the sole. Black socks, black hair accessories, black jackets etc... you'll need a stethoscope. The books are most of the expense. There are also computer requirements. They strongly discourage a chrome book as a computer because Kaplan has issues working on it

1st semester the ones I'd start with are ch. 1&2 Lewis Medical Surgical Nursing and then the first author is Lilley Pharmacology and nursing process. Ch.1&2. The only bummer is you save a lot by getting the book bundle through Butte and you want all the online materials. Pretty much everyone who bought used books in our class regretted it and ended up buying new shortly after the semester began. It's annoying they don't make the bundle available all the time.

7th round got 9th on the alternate list. They said they took 20 alternates last year so hoping a seat opens!!

Just got the email I got waited listed bet they took 20 alternatives last year and I’m number 9. Even if a seat doesn’t open up I get in for Fall 2023. That was my 7th application! 3.5 years!

Not yet. They said the end of September so from the past that means they will wait to the absolute last day. During COVID it once went into 2 weeks into October but I think that was a fluke.

So long time applicant here (7th time) and not to burst bubbles because people do get in earlier, but most get in around 7 times. they populate 65% of the class from 7th time applicants. I have seen people get in on early cycles on some of the other forums though. I’m hoping this is my round! I have also seen some get wait listed on 7 so I guess you never know.

I think one person on here was in their round 6 and got in. That’s honestly the first person on here that I e seen that got in before round 7. I’m on to round 7 this September now.
