Burnout, just dragging by in my humanities

Published

So I finished all the "hard" sciences in my first year (Chem and Micro and A&P I&II), mainly to ensure that they were on the transcripts the admissions comittee looks at (the school I am going for allows for courses in progress but really likes to see good grades in sciences), and now I feel swamped with work even though this is my easiest semester.

I think a big part of it is that I really dont care about any of these courses, they are all just filler. That and I already applied and am more focused on next fall than I am this spring. Agh, hopefully I can get a good recharge over spring break and a even better one over the summer.

But until that happens do you all have any advice on keeping motivated towards getting good grades (oh on that one, if I pull all A's this semester my GPA will be good enough to get a transfer scholarship worth 6k and may also get some merit based aid from the school I am applying to).

I'm right there with you. "Filler" or, more commonly known in my area, "weed-out" classes stink, but I take a step back and relax to say, "I need to get through these classes to get to my ultimate goal. Plus, once I start in clinicals, everything goes at twice the speed of light, so I should enjoy it while I can."
