I've applied for spring 2011 and I'm anxiously waiting to hear something from BCC.! I have all my pre-reqs done. I'm currently working in a doctors office from 8-4. I'm wondering if I will I be able to work and do NS. My employer is willing to work with me. I'm not sure if my schedule will allow me to work for them? I don't need a job financially. I would just like to maintain a relationship in the local community to help me later on down the line.
The brochure doesn't really give me an idea of the schedule that we'll have...anybody have a clue?
Yeah, hopefully today. Thats a great question one that I'm trying to figure out now. I'm so torn...I want to know what my schedule is gonna REALLY be like. I understand the class schedule but it's the studying and reading that I'm concerned about.
I don't mean to ramble but I don't have much time after work as it is. After cooking dinner, cleaning up, and putting my son to bed I'm exhausted! Then I'll have to get up bright and early and do it again. My husband works at night so he wouldn't be any help.
I work in a small dr's office so if I do need to take off for an hour or so the work will just be waiting for me when I get back. If it's as demanding as the girls from the previous class said it is I don't see how this will work without driving me crazy. I'm on the fence right now. Do you plan on working?
Hey Shannon, I do plan on working about 3 days a week no more than 20 hours a week. I work in a restaurant however so the hours are more flexible. I hope to get a job as a CNA at some point during the program to help get my foot in the door for a job when I'm finished school. I dont know how much studying to plan on doing so I'm going to ask what to expect when I set up my class schedule.
