Burlington County College Spring 2011 does anyone know what schedule I should expect?

Published

I've applied for spring 2011 and I'm anxiously waiting to hear something from BCC.! I have all my pre-reqs done. I'm currently working in a doctors office from 8-4. I'm wondering if I will I be able to work and do NS. My employer is willing to work with me. I'm not sure if my schedule will allow me to work for them? I don't need a job financially. I would just like to maintain a relationship in the local community to help me later on down the line.

The brochure doesn't really give me an idea of the schedule that we'll have...anybody have a clue?

Because I have 4 kids and my hubby is deploying I would prefer Days, but I think there is only a limited number of people that cad do days. That is what it says in the BCC Nursing pamphlet.

I hope to get my packet soon too. There are a few things we need to get and want to get started so I don't have to buy everything at once.

I heard you have to buy certain shoes does anyone know what we are suppose to buy?

Jen, there are 20 open spots for day clinicals so as long as you register first day you should be ok with getting a spot. As far as the shoes idk I'm just going to wait until I get my packet but I'm assuming you just need shoes you'd get from a uniform store.

I spoke to Ms. Yates the evening coordinator a few days and she told me that we will get a letter in the mail around the first week in November with dates and times for us to choose from. From those dates we'll have to choose a time that is convenient for us to go sign up to go pick up our packets and choose our schedule. I'm interested in the day time clinicals only because I'll have to pay a nanny to watch my child at night (my husband works nights already). Other than that this is all I've heard.

I am also looking at the days. My husband will be deployed from Jan to May and I have 4 kids that I need watched, it is a lot easier when two are in school when I do the clinicals.

I'm so ready to pick classes, get these packets and get everything done! has anyone gotten cpr certified yet?

I know what you mean Jen my husband deployed for 15 months. You'll definitely have your hands full when he's gone if they're not already ;).

I haven't gotten cpr certified yet. I'm pushing it off til early Dec because it's only good for 2 years. I think I'm gonna go with the Redcross. What about you?

Same thing. I'm waiting until December. Ive looked up different places. One was 75 another was 55.

Ok, just in case anyone is interested I signed up for the CPR professional lifesaver course with the American Redcross of Burlington County for $70. You can either sign up to take it on a Saturday from 8am to 5pm or 2 weekday (tues&thurs) from 6pm-10pm. I decided to go with the 2 weekday classes because I hate to ruin my weekends, Lol. I'm taking the Dec 6th&8th course.

Here is the website site it was a challenge to find. You can sign up and pay online with a credit card.

Red Cross is probably the best bet. I think they might give it through bcc for a non credit class but it may be more expensive. My husband is military so I hope to be able to take it on base for free. We will see though. Does anyone know how much the CPR class would cost?
