Just wondering if there was anyone out there that is applying to the Bunker Hill Community College Nursing Program this year. I'm hopefully applying in the next application cycle after this semester of Micro, Drug Calc, and a Philosophy class. I'm looking into the night/weekend courses. Current GPA of 3.2.
Not sure about the CPR/AED - probably isn't a bad idea to get it done before we start so then there is less to do while we're so busy. I'm sure they will go over everything at orientation though.
As far as scheduling (don't quote me) I found this online under registration, even though we can't register yet:
It appears that there are two time choices for NUR 111:
Mondays 4-6pm (lecture)
Tuesday 4-10:30 (clinical)
Wednesday 4-7 (lab?)
or
Monday: 4-6pm (class)
Thursday 4-10:30 (clinical)
Wednesday 4-7 (lab?)
And then NUR 101 is similar idea:
Monday 6-6:50 (lecture)
and two choices for lab:
Monday 7-10pm or Wednesday 7-10pm
Yeah it doesn't say anything about CPR in the letter, but it's mentioned somewhere on bhcc website . They'll probably tell us more about it at orientation, but i'm pretty sure we're suppose to have it before start of program. If someone finds where it it says otherwise please share. Lol Skay that's how I looked up the schedule for the day program....by peaking through registration. Looks like only two options for professors....
Looks like I should find my CPR cards! Oops...who knows where they are!
@queen - the LPN prerequisites should be listed online somewhere on BHCC's site. I would say it depends on what classes you've completed so far etc. Here is the link:Practical Nursing Certificate Program â€" Bunker Hill Community College
It looks like the prereqs are College Writing I and AP I and II - so based off of that I'd say you could complete those in three semesters. But there may be other classes required (ie AP I and II probably have a prereq of Bio classes etc.)
