I am considering schooling options for the future. Based upon experience, do you think it is worth it to get your BSN. Do hospitals require it? Are there more job opportunities?

It depends upon the geographical area. In some places, they are requiring the BSN or proof that you are in the process of getting one. In other places, it's a non issue. Research job postings in your area and you will have your answer.

Many hospitals (mine included) are requiring current RNs to get their BSN and new hires are required to sign a contract saying they will get their BSN within 2-3 years or risk being fired. I would recommend just getting the BSN from the start and being done with it.

Yes, yes and yes. Also, the title of this OP isn't really sound. A BSN is a degree, RN is a license. BSN is one path to obtaining your RN.
