Hi there, I am currently applying for the fall 2011 class at UFV and have my interview tomorrow. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on the gpa and volunteer hours needed for acceptance. This is my second attempt at trying to get in as I was not accepted with a 3.3 gpa and 50 hrs volunteer I was told the average for last winters gpa was around 3.8!
I was also wondering if anyone had any advice on the the interview?:)
I am very nervous and am really hoping to be accepted for this fall.
I applied at BCIT, UFV and Douglas. I'm from Maple Ridge but I currently live in the West End so my boyfriend and I are just going to move when I find out where i'll be going for school to be closer. I went for 2 years at UFV already when I was living in Maple Ridge still, it is a good school I liked it! I also have a friend in Douglas program but I have yet to meet anyone in the BCIT program for some insight. Basically i'll go to whichever one says yes to me lol.
Oh wow, well I bet you will get into one of the schools! I know that UFV is a very good school. I've heard BCIT is also...haven't heard about Douglas but I'm sure they are all great! I've only done one semester in Abby at UFV taking a few non-nursing electives and I will be there again in Sept taking English and statistics(yikes) I've only been out of high school for a year...I'm really hoping my grades are good enough to get in! Good luck to you!!

did you get in Cassie?
wow good luck! im sure you will do great. The interview really isnt anything to worry about. They mostly as you questions on how you will afford it. What sources of support you have. They also give you a scenario and ask you to tell them what order you would approach all of the things you need to do in a stressful situation. They ask what stresses you out as well. Pretty general answers where you dont have to think too much just say how you feel and they are very nice about it so you feel very comfortable :) I first applied for last january and was not accepted but they kept me on the wait list so I start this september. I have also heard its a great school for nursing so I am very excited to start. Again, good luck to you though! If you have any other questions feel free to ask...

That does sound amazing! I have heard the interview is nothing at all to be nervous about. Its just worth a lot of points in the points system so very intimidating! But yes, will be nice to get that all over and done with!
