BSN Lamar 2018 FALL

Hello I'm starting a post for those who are applying to the Lamar University nursing program in Beaumont, Tx for the Fall semester!

Specializes in Med-Surg, Home Health, Hospice, School.
I am very frustrated because I received a letter today clarifying that my application isn't considered "complete" because my Anatomy and Physiology classes didn't transfer over. I spoke with three people in JANUARY about my courses being acceptable, and then on February 29th I received a phone call with complete verification of my courses. I am so confused why it took them until May to change their minds and then state this?

oh WOW! I am so sorry! What college did you take them at? Did they say you would have to retake them? Maybe it's just a matter of calling your advisor and making sure they're added to your file.

My nephew had to send his transcript 3 times and they still don't have all of his classes listed on his degree audit! It IS very frustrating!

That's terrible! I also think you should call, and clarify if your credits are considered or not. They may just need you to resend your transcript.

I think you have a good chance! I know a few who applied with similar gpa, but I don't know their HESI score. I believe if you balance out your hesi to your gpa you should have a good chance. My science gpa is mediocre, but my science hesi scores balanced it out.

I will!! Yes I have taken theories. It's an easy class, and if you're taking it online, I've heard it's even easier.
