Hello I'm starting a post for those who are applying to the Lamar University nursing program in Beaumont, Tx for the Fall semester!

If you guys start to hear about more acceptances and the second wave of letters please update us. Im really stressed about driving from conroe to beaumont starting next week for about 6 weeks straight. ---____---

Those of y'all that already did yalls background check were we suppose to receive anything on the mail?

You are suppose to receive a blue card after the background check. It took about a week or so to get mine.

okay so its been about a month since i got mine done and i have not received anything yet I've called the place were i got them done at but they havent been much help

Try to find the background check email from Lamar. If I remember correctly it stated to call the sender if it doesn't arrive within 30 days.

If y'all have taken classes this past spring semester, did y'all have the transcripts sent to the nursing dept., or lamar, or both?

I personally brought it to the nursing department. I believe those I know mailed it to the nursing department as well.

I hope I get in! In April, I got a letter, but only stating that I completed everything. Still waiting for a letter!

The nursing advisor told me that letters were going to be sent today. So you should receive something the first few weeks in July! Good luck everyone!!!

I heard back today! I'm placed on the alternate list. Anyone know the percentage people get pulled off the list?
