i had a big delima.. i took mt health core and i got my cert on Monday but my transcript was partially evaluated so that i could register for micro over the winter.... so i had to get my trancript fully evaluated again so thats my sciences would show up on my trancsript. and that was done thursday evening... they woulnt take my application unless my sciences were on my audit. i was all over the place!!! i was determined!! i did not take anatomy & lab 1 in six weeks and anatomy lec 2 and lab in six weeks while 7-8 months pregnant and miss my first month of chemistry (9 months preg) to study on my own cuz i had my baby the 1st day of school to not make the deadline. i crammed like crazy !!!!:lol2:

since they changed the HOSA req, that is going to put all of us back!!!!!

so that means that he does a good review for pharm... okay, i wont get that book, ill wait... no he doesn't really review, but as he is lecturing, he will say, "star this slide." or "make sure you know this." stuff like that. then we would look over our notes, especially the starred/highlighted stuff. we had a sub who came in for a few lectures and even wrote her own test since she lectured on all the material for one of the tests and she was soooooo awesome. i obviously can't say her name or initials here, but she works with him and is just a fabulous teacher. i got my highest grade on her test.

dosage calculation is for which class??? math

did u buy the saunders and did it help u? or that book is needed later on in the program? i actually just bought the saunders a week ago. i did rent it from the library, which you can do because you get it for like 3 weeks so you can see if you would actually use it or not. i didn't get it from the library until after i started np2 and i suppose it helped a little. i didn't have time to read what the sections said because it gives a review on the topics, i just took the tests. it gives rationales and i read those, so i suppose it did help. some of the questions were just too easy, though. not all but some.

how did your fundamental class go? did u buy the book? i have the 6th edition, i got for $23

fundmental class (np1 and np2) went great! i got a high b in np1 and missed a b by 2 stinkin' pts in np2. you will definitely need the book in that class. i had the newest edition which is 7

I don't think so. I had asked at an info session if it set those of us without Hosa back and was told that they didn't really see a big difference. I don't think there are a lot of people with Hosa to begin with.

It really sounds like a nerve-racking spot to be in, but you pulled it off-and while pregnant?! THat's awesome-hats off to you! I was so exausted when I was pregnant I could barely see straight-couldn't imagine having to pick up a chem book, ugh...

im not working and i took my classes in the morning while my other two kids were in school. and where ever i went my anatomy book came with me, If i use to fall asleep in the book and dream about the bones lol!!!! as for Chem. the prof i had was really really good...she had extra credit GALORE!!!!! I also used E tutor on Broward library website, its free one on one tutor AWESOME!!!! also, i was just determined, IM 33 now and i have no time for mess up, my clock is ticking and i need a profession, because the BA in business is Useless!!!! LOL!! but thank God i had something to make this process easier.. but i feel better knowing that i am not alone starting school over with a new career at this age, it can be discouraging at times... but i am glad that i made it this far and i am only 18 months away starting this summer from being a RN Whoo Hoo!!!! to all of US!!!!

I wish I could say the same for my chem prof. Man, what a pain-and no extra anything. But that E tutor thing sounds pretty cool. I never heard of it-wish I had, lol. And I think going back to school a little (emphasis on little, lol) later in life is great. I'm 39 and I am much more disciplined and focused than when I was younger- even with a FT job and two children. It's not to say that things come easier (my skull is thick, smile), but I'm much more motivated-priorities I guess. My neices are in their early to mid 20s and one is in her last year of school to become a PT and the other is a psychologist-smart girls! Wish I knew what I wanted to do with my life at their ages, sigh...
