Has anyone turned in their application yet?! Btw, I heard that Central campus might NOT have a May class :sniff:

MAFDC08...

You have to pay $20 for the nursing application.

Really?! Is this the same application that I just turned in yesterday? Because the didn't charge me anything and I did ask. I wonder if when I started my pre-reqs I paid and just cannot recall... I will call in the morning just to be sure...

did anyone have to pay a fee to apply?

Yes.. I had to pay $20.00 for the application fee. If you log on to the BC website you'll probablly see the $20.00 you have to pay. The same way it shows vwhen you'd have to pay for a class.

Specializes in ED.

Yes, I had to pay a $20 app fee when I applied. They had to input my info into the system first, and then the $20 showed up in the fees section once I logged into my account. Its actually written on the Limited Access Application you turned in:

To be considered for admission to a health science program, complete and mail this application to either Health Science Admission office listed below. Students will be obligated for the $20 non-refundable limited access application fee, payable online at www.broward.edu, by mail, or in person at any campus Cashier’s office.

Mine also says "You have no active Limited Access Program applications to display." I turned in my application 2 days ago at North Campus.

I called the someone at the North campus and the lady said since Monday they have recieved 100s of application so it will take some time to process all of them.

Now the waiting game begins...

Hey.....what did your HOSA certificate look like....did it it say "HOSA" on it or "Health Science Education"

this waiting thing is what is going to drive me nuts!!!

JonathanL,

Try not to let it get ya. The time will come before you know it!

ps, regarding the $20 appliication fee--like you've probably read in the other posts--there is a fee. I must have paid mine a while back so I that's why the lady at BC responded "no" to my questioning the ap fee.

I just went and checked and saw that i had a 20$ fee too pay, so i payed it online, and got it out of the way. Do they consider all seats when they take in applications, or do they only consider the campus' that they will accept for?

what do you mean do they consider all seats? Do you mean how many seats are available for that program start date?

Yeah. Because when i went to turn in my application, I asked if they were gonna have the program over the summer on the central campus, and what they told me was that they were still considering it, but that they would figure it out when they accept all the students. So i'm thinking that they accept students based on the total number of seats i guess
