Broward College / Prerequisites

Published

Was wondering if any current or former Broward College student's could answer this question as I was not able to obtain answer on the Dept of Nursing Website. Friend of mine took their prerequisites back in 2005/2006 and now wants to apply to genereic rn program. They want to know if the science prerequisites have an expiration on them(i.e do they need to have been completed within the last 5, 7 or 10 yrs) in order to be eligible to apply. We both reviewed their website but could not find the answer to this question. Any help regarding this matter is most appreciated

Hi, Im currently taking my prereques now and from what other students tell me, they have to be within 10 years. Also any grade lower than a B will stopyou from being accepted according to one girl. Dont beleive all that you hear, just give them a call if need be.

+1. My oldest pre-req was taken in 2001 and I was admitted for 2009.

not 10 years yet before acceptance.

if it was 2011 maybe you would of probably had to take the science class over again.

maybe, but don't quote me, I've been out of BCC for a couple of years, and have not done any pre-reqs since 2002=2004 for nursing.:clown:

You could call their nursing admissions dept and ask.

Yes that's why I said +1. +1 means I agree totally or I co-sign your statement.;)

I would speak with someone in the Nursing Dept. Dont rely on friends of friends.
