Hello, im a perspective nursing student seeking to enter Broward's program in August by submitting my application in May 2019. I am deathly afraid I won't get in I keep feeling as if im under qualified. I got an A in anatomy lab/lecture 1. Im finishing my Anatomy 2 I should have a A in lab come the end of this semseter (may 16th) but the lecture may be a C. Broward only accepts one attempt of each and my english grade is an AP credit so it won't be added to the equation. So far the GPA calculation is giving me 3.2 to 3.5. I'm not gonna get in aren't I? I am planning to take the HESI come 2 weeks from now (btw do they give immediate results?) and have to score an 80 so any concrete help with that would be great. I just need to know from anyones personal experience have they gotten in with a low anatomy score and whether or not I should fake get my hopes up.

No, I think it's still too early to be worried. You're looking in the right spot though.
My application is also still under review and no points have been added.
Hi everyone,
I'm new to the board. I too applied for the for Fall 2019 pool and I am still waiting for a decision. My status still says "Application In review". Spoke with an admission personnel a few days a ago and she says they have 30 days from the close of the application period to make a decision. I do hope I get in in though. Not sure what my grade point will be. I got Bs in both A&P lectures and As in both labs, and B in ENC1101.
I did hear of a couple of changes in BC though, not sure how true it is. I was told that they no longer do the math exams that moves you on to clinical. I had a friend who failed Process 1 and they called her back because now you have to fail a certain amount before they kick you out the program. She actually played the message they left her telling her she can return, but she started Jersey College and she feels more comfortable there she says.
We'll see.......... Just waiting patiently now. ?

That is really good information to know. Thats good for the people who failed previously to receive a second chance.
Do you recall which cohort your friend was in?
DO you think that they are updating the policy because they made the qualifications much higher going forward to get into the program?

She started Jan 2018. I also notice that BC has on their website that starting Jan 2020 they will be having a Part-time Generic RN program. I believe with all these changes it may have something to do with the application numbers.
Wow, that is really good for people with children and have a job, but I can not wait other semester. I just passed a summer application bc the classes/ sessions are just 3 or 4 months.

Hello,
I submitted my application for the Fall of 2019.
I am excited to embark on this nursing journey.
Does any one know How many people are accepted into the program in the fall term and what are the stats as far as GPA?
I know this forum is not as long as the previous ones but I am sure there are still many people that applied to the program.
Can any current students give some advice on how the program is and how to prepare?
