Hello!
I'm a prospective nursing student for January 2020 at Broward college! I know I am super early but I am just overwhelmed with excitement! I took my HESI test yesterday, and to be honest I wasn't sure I would pass. I gave myself enough time to re-take it again in 30 days and then submit my application. Well.... I studied for 13 days straight and I passed!!! If you'd like some tips, I'd be happy to share. Just let me know. I submitted my application today, so fingers crossed. I know it will be a while but I am happy I finally made it this far. Hope to hear from any other applicants! ?
Hi I read your article and I’m also a new student preparing to come in this term but might need help about preparing for the HESI for Broward College. Anybody with any assistance whatsoever I’ll appreciate it my email is [email protected], thanks
I applied for Summer 2020 admission.
A&P 1 - B
A&P 1L - C
A&P 2 - B
A&P 2L - A
ENG - A
All math requirements completed.
My overall points were 8, with my "application GPA" being a 3.2.
My overall HESI was an 88% without studying, but I do no recommend not studying. I found study guides online that I printed and just never looked at.
HESI Score Breakdown:
A&P - 80%
Reading 90%
Grammar 84%
Math 90%
A lot of my questions came from A&P 2, so I tell everyone not to take it until you finish, or almost done with A&P 2.
I am a native English speaker, and I will say the grammar was REALLY hard for me, but it was also the last section I took, and I started to get tired in general. My eyes were tired, and I was just trying to stay away to complete the test.
I thought I was going to have to retake A&P 1L over the Summer, but I was accepted.
Because of COVID-19, and the weird schedule, I am re-appyling for Fall admission.
@barbiedoll2244 hello thanks for the information! If you had enrolled for the Summer term it would’ve been virtual right? I have 11 points over all (3.5 GPA) but nervous I won’t be able to get in since it’s a possibility the number of people who get in may be affected due to COVID. Goodluck!!
Also retakes for classes like anatomy aren’t allowed for this program, broward looks at the first successful attempt of the pre-req classes so good thing you didn’t retake anatomy lab

Not virtual as much as remote. The classes have/had designated times to be logged on for classes and tests.
I feel like you're fine for admission!! I was worried that I would have to retake my A&P 1 Lab. (I took A&P 1&2 as a FastTrack, both in Fall 2019 and it was rough.)
I also think they dropped the first attempt thing, but I could be wrong.

Could I get the study guide too please, [email protected]

However, curriculum and accreditation changes state it has to be a College Level Math Class (MAC1105, MGF1106, MGF1107, STA2023, etc).
Hello I had a question on how GPA is calculated. It's only from the prerequisites, right? Does grade replacement count in the GPA? Also, when is the deadline to apply for fall 2021? I am at MDC and will be finishing my last semester in Summer 2021. Ty
