Broward college nursing program 2020

Published

Hello!

I'm a prospective nursing student for January 2020 at Broward college! I know I am super early but I am just overwhelmed with excitement! I took my HESI test yesterday, and to be honest I wasn't sure I would pass. I gave myself enough time to re-take it again in 30 days and then submit my application. Well.... I studied for 13 days straight and I passed!!! If you'd like some tips, I'd be happy to share. Just let me know. I submitted my application today, so fingers crossed. I know it will be a while but I am happy I finally made it this far. Hope to hear from any other applicants! ?

I know I’m late to the game but I was under the impression that we could take the CAE courses online at CE places other than Broward, or was that only for the BLS?

(I already took the BLS at the local fire station.)

Yes you can take them anywhere online as long as they’re certified. I took them on CEUFast.com. You can find the equivalent courses when you search broward college on the site.

You’re my hero. I wasn’t sure of the course choices I was finding on other websites or they required a license number to register...

Do we really need 4hrs for the HIV/AIDS or is 1hr sufficient?

I turned all my certificates in. You have to complete exactly what they are asking. So if it says 4 hours then yes you have to complete 4 hours. Rn.org is another website you can complete the certifications.

Have you guys buy any book yet?

I’ve got most of them. I’m just waiting on the bookstore bc some of them haven’t arrived. I didn’t get much financial aid so I bought most of them on eBay

Can I please have the link plz?

Has anyone brought the bundle yet? I wanted to know what books were in it?

I mostly got every book in PDF format except for the workbook or companion books.

Has anyone purchased shoes yet? I looked up the sketchers with the memory foam that the other nursing students mentioned during orientation, however, I see that they have a little bit of silver on them.... I can't seem to find "all white" ones. Let me know if you all found any please!

Also... I am having trouble with the scrub pants.... The small is too tight and the mediums are huge... lol Just thought I'd share. They don't run true to size just so you all know.

I did, the one you can't see the name is the fundamentals which is loose leaf. Plus it had one elieser code that I have not activated...( cox, funs study guide and unfolding case were bought separate)... did anyone get the pharmacy book with access??? Central doesn't have it and Amazon's doesn't have the acces code

I asked about the Pharm book at the bookstore and she said they stopped using the access code in the fall. Hopefully that’s true!
