Hello to all the future Applicants for the January 17' nursing program. I know it's really early and August admission process hasn't been completed yet but I couldn't help my self. I'm so anxious to get in the program it took me a long time to get to this point. I have completed all the pre reqs that have an affect on your gpa and I have a 3.0. I recently just passed the Hesi for the second try with a 76% in anatomy, 92% in math and 80% in the other 3 sections. I'm in MGF1106 right now grades will post early Aug. so I'm going to turn in the Application right after that. I hope this forum can be used for all us to get through this waiting process together.
HESI Tips: Don't forget to look over A&P I content. Also, many people struggle with reading comprehension, so be sure to do some practice. There's a method to the madness. Oh, and some people didn't know, but you have a calculator built into the testing program, but it's sort of hidden so ask if you can't find it.
Hello! Has anyone taken the HESI at broward college? If so, do you for sure get a calculator & is it multiple choice?????Thank you
HESI is easy. Just buy the recommended book study from that and you will pass. Trust me if you don't pass the HESI then you most definitely won't survive the program. The calculator will be there for you. It's very basic that you won't even need to study for it :). Do you really want to go into Broward College? Is so what campus?

People can't pass the reading comprehension? that is sad. That was easier than the math.

Hi everyone!
just wanted to quickly wish you all good luck! I was hoping to apply for August 2017 nursing program at BC Central but after reading this thread I'm overcome with anxiety!! I have a 3.0 GPA and HESI scores in the 80s. I see that every term is different but would it be wise to wait and apply for a different term rather than August considering my record? Or is it worth a shot? Is there another term that has less application volume?
Thanks! best wishes :)

Make sure to solve every question possible from the study guide, Know how to solve ratios, proportions, fractions, tons of fractions, know how to converts grams to kg, know your pints, gallons, cups, kg to lbs to ounces, military time, just basic conversions, the math portion is not that bad, the guide prepares you really well, for the rest use quizlet and youtube. Good luck!
