Hey there! This is a tread for anyone trying to get into the May nursing program in Broward College. Have you guys completed everything we need?

I still have to take my HESI and I am half way done with the Health Core class. I am so nervous. I am still not completely sure on how BC does the admission criteria, but I have high hopes.

Leave anything below. Lets help each other out :)

I'll still be around here after today. I know it's only the first class, but theory seems pretty simple so far. I read the whole chapter last night, so the prof's lecture is just reinforcing all the material for me. There's an electronic copy of the textbook you can torrent if you August guys want to read through. I'll have to PM it though for obv reasons, so ask me.

I'd love to share notes and discuss lecture stuff here. It'll give me motivation to write stuff down lol.

I'm at North Campus in Prof. Fola's Lecture (now lol). Today is just Vital signs. A lot of this is stuff people would know from HCP001 and BSC2085/6, but there are tidbits she's giving here and there.

Haha no prob, like I said, this will help me develop good study habits. I'm too used to skating by without doing much for a class lol.

Hi! I'm applying more than likely for January 2015 since I'm currently taking HCP 0001 over the summer. Can any of you who have been accepted advise on your grades for A&P 1 and 2 and HESI score? Just would like to have an idea on what I need to get it. I never took the English comp class as I took AP test in high school and bypassed the requirement. I'm trying to determine if I should just take anyway to boost my grades. Thanks and good luck to all of you who are starting classes now!

how was ur class so far? Pharmacology?

The class was pretty pleasant, she seemed a bit wary of giving us too much info to process, but honestly it was really easy to follow(especially if you read). Pharmacology isn't until 5ish, so I haven't seen that yet. I didn't read anything for it either, since we didn't get a reading list beforehand like with the lecture.

My overall GPA was 3.48 when I applied. I pretty much got Bs in the A&Ps. With the HESI I got a 91 on my first take. Honestly you should be fine if you're generally solid in those three things. Wouldn't hurt to have a nice fat GPA though, if you're getting an AA before applying like I did. It would be great for getting into a B/MSN program after this.
