Hey there! This is a tread for anyone trying to get into the May nursing program in Broward College. Have you guys completed everything we need?

I still have to take my HESI and I am half way done with the Health Core class. I am so nervous. I am still not completely sure on how BC does the admission criteria, but I have high hopes.

Did anyone from central get an email asking to pass by on Monday before or after class to fill out additional paperwork?

Yes I received the same email. I don't know what is about.

They told me it's just to fill out something the dean forgot to mention something with basic info like our address or something. Also on the paper they gave us it says tomorrow at 8 am everything will be up on D2L

What did you guys do about the books?

All these new editions and prices are ridiculous!!!!

Did you guys buy new ones are older versions?

The price difference is crazy too!!! example, Fundamentals of nursing 8th ed is $121 and the 7th ed is $.44 cents. *****

I basically bought all books from amazon, some are new and other used but in very good condition. Then I saved about $200

Good luck on your first day everyone!! :) Please stop by and let us know how everything is going whenever you have time. I've noticed on past threads after everyone starts classes the thread becomes vacant, hope it doesn't happen here. But if it does just stay focused and STUDY!!

I'll still be around here after today. I know it's only the first class, but theory seems pretty simple so far. I read the whole chapter last night, so the prof's lecture is just reinforcing all the material for me. There's an electronic copy of the textbook you can torrent if you August guys want to read through. I'll have to PM it though for obv reasons, so ask me.

I'd love to share notes and discuss lecture stuff here. It'll give me motivation to write stuff down lol.

I'm at North Campus in Prof. Fola's Lecture (now lol). Today is just Vital signs. A lot of this is stuff people would know from HCP001 and BSC2085/6, but there are tidbits she's giving here and there.
