Broward College Nursing May 2014

Published

Hey there! This is a tread for anyone trying to get into the May nursing program in Broward College. Have you guys completed everything we need?

I still have to take my HESI and I am half way done with the Health Core class. I am so nervous. I am still not completely sure on how BC does the admission criteria, but I have high hopes.

Leave anything below. Lets help each other out :)

Thank you so much. That helped except it sucks that that pharm class is on Fri smack dab in the middle of the day. I was gonna use that as a work day ?

Thats exactly what I had planned...

Specializes in Labor and delivery.

Registered for North successful. Thought I was going to have a heart attack with all the problems. Hope everyone else get what they want.

I KNOW!!!! I wasn't planning on attending Friday in the middle of the day! What a horrible time for a class.

south just emailed the corrected codes for those looking to go there

Me too, I had horrible time. I had to keep changing reference # because some Reference wouldn't work. But is done Successful registered for North .

I think it's so inconvenient! But at least we got registration complete! I guess we will be meeting soon :D Maybe, they will allow us to switch to the Monday class if no one registers for it. Last time I checked it was still empty

Edit: I think what's happening is that both the generic and the lpn-rn students are signing up for the Fri pharm class cuz no one has signed up for the mon one

Its weird that south only has clincals one day a week and central had them 2 days a week

In the south email it did day to plan to leave both Tues and Wed open for clinicals regardless of what day you choose upon registering

Does that apply to North too? I couldn't find that in either of their attached documents. Also South's email mentions a Campus Lab Day on the 13th. It said all students must attend. I'm confused who that applies to. I wish they kept this stuff a little more uniform/centralized.

I know what you mean. It's a bit confusing because it varies so much from campus to campus. I think the lab day at South is for those students who registered for South. But you should check with your campus

There's still the nursing orientation, I'm pretty sure they'll give us all the info then.

Registered for North!! I too thought I was going to have a myocardial infarction earlier this morning (Nursing humor:cheeky:) I had completely forgotten about registration opening today until 10:30 and FREAKED! haha. But I am so thankful I was still able to register for North! I got the "Registering for classes on different campuses" message too but I called North campus and she confirmed the reference number for me and said to just ignore the message. So I'm hoping that's just because of clincals as someone else said.

To whoever asked me about my BLS course.. I called Paramount Training Services and I am going to take the course tonight! So after that I will be all set and can turn in my paperwork. Who else is going to North campus?
