Hey there! This is a tread for anyone trying to get into the May nursing program in Broward College. Have you guys completed everything we need?

I still have to take my HESI and I am half way done with the Health Core class. I am so nervous. I am still not completely sure on how BC does the admission criteria, but I have high hopes.

Leave anything below. Lets help each other out :)

im going to north also. how do you know about the prerequisites?

Because you already have been accepted under the May terms. The physicals and everything you have done will be turned in after the first program orientation. You do not need to do them again as well.

thanks Mandaa0x...I heard there is a summer break for nursing.is that true? Do you think registering for august classes will be tougher to get where you want to go since they accept more people?

At the orientation they did say there is a little break. Not sure when it is though. In August they do accept more people but I'm pretty sure that they would need more classes also to accommodate more people. So you may have the same chances going for the campuses if there's more classes available to choose from

thanks..i dont know how true it is about summer classes being that much harder but that is what I have heard

It's the same material just 6 week mini semester instead of 8 like the other semesters

Guys don't forget to pay the drug screen fees posted on your BC account before you can register for classes

From what I was explained...If you start in May you go MAY through Dec. Then in winter you go half a semester then have a break till may. IN may you start again and finish in Dec.

SO...If you go August it would be all of August through May and then you get a break the first half of summer and then start up the remainder of summer, fall and winter. That's how I understood it.

Second half of your third semester is your break. It is on the sample schedule on the BC website.

I got it at the minute clinic even though we were not in season... the flu shot that is.
