Hey there! This is a tread for anyone trying to get into the May nursing program in Broward College. Have you guys completed everything we need?

I still have to take my HESI and I am half way done with the Health Core class. I am so nervous. I am still not completely sure on how BC does the admission criteria, but I have high hopes.

Leave anything below. Lets help each other out :)

Hey!!!! any did there CPR for a reasonable price everywhere I call its pretty expensive.

Expensive is a relative term, so don't know what prices you've seen. But Paramount training is 49 dollars no book or equipment needed. AHA BLS CPR program went through it a week ago.

Ive been online for for the pass few days looking for classes and this is the most reasonable price I've seen so far also..

Hey anyone do the online back ground check? did they contact your employer ? I currently work at the place I listed and I would hate for them to contact them and tell them what it's for before I get to put my 2 week notice in lol

I got my background check back and it said my employer was contacted but I asked all my managers and none of them said they received a phone call

For our physical papers if we have proof of immunization for the shots do we still have to get the titer? Because I was reading online and some schools did I just didn't know if broward needed that

You don't need the titer unless it's overdue.

Okay awesome, but like the Measles Mumps and Rubella shot I got back in 2004 the PA just put in those dates is that okay? Because they half assed my physical because it was close to closing time. I got a tetorifice shot and they even forgot to write it. I just want to make sure I don't have to end up getting a titer and wait a long time before I find out

Some vaccines you only need once. Like me I took my mmr in 1991 and 1994 so I don't need it as long as there is proof. Plus the state of fla can look it up. You should definitely contact them and closing time or not they should have still given you 100% customer service

The way I read it was that you had to do the titer either way. ..And dates of vaccines are only after the titer. I did the tdap, hep. b & a last year. .. Because it reads. ..dates only given if titer negative.

Hey I also did all my vaccines a very long time ago and just went up to the Broward County School Board/ records department and picked up a copy of my immunization records to bring to my doctors appointment on Tuesday for my physical. I believe that I will have to take the tetorifice shot again and also the Tuberculosis shot again because it says that the tetorifice can't be any longer then 10 years old(which mine is) and the tuberculosis if I am not mistaken says on the BC website that it needs to be done annually (correct me if I am wrong). Other then that all my shots are done. Also i did the certified background check the other day and Monday I am going to take care of the fingerprinting. I am trying so hard to get everything done and out of the way so I don't have to worry about it anymore lol.

Do we need a package code to sign up for certifiedbackground.com? I'm trying to order but I don't know where to go to apply or sign up.

There isn't a TB shot what you get is a PPD and you return in 2 days to see if you're positive or negative for TB

Hi, we do need a code, you can find it in the FAQ for health sciences at the bc website, it has all the instructions ?
