Hello, this is a thread for any current nursing students at Broward college or those who have recently been accepted. I'm a bit confused on Broward's admission criteria. What classes exactly do they use to calculate the gpa?

Don't stress too much over the HESI guys.. I didn't even study, the only section I looked at was the vocab and I only looked at a few words. The first time I took the HESI I passed every section except the A&P. The A&P section is VERY random, stuff I don't even remember going over in the class smh (it's mainly the physiology part on the HESI).

After you take the test you will get a print out of what you got wrong, I read over those and talked to Jackie from the August thread about some questions she remembered from the test and just went from there and I passed the A&P on my second try.

The test isn't hard, we just get so overly stressed about it. So stay calm and BREATHE :) good luck!

When I spoke to the woman that handles Health Science Admission, and she said they start looking at them after the August term begins. Yet I know of someone who applied maybe a month ago, and 4 days later received the confirmation the she got in. So....Im thinking of calling next week to see when we should expect some news.

The HESI exam makes me nervous!! :/

Thank you so much for letting us know about your HESI experience. This is my biggest issue...the MATH!! :o I am trying to memorize all the conversions and metric system stuff and totally wigging out about that. Can you express just a little bit about the math? I would greatly appreciate it. I have the HESI review book from the broward college south campus book store and going over the math part towards the back of the book. I dont know but I feel so overwhelmed with it....all the conversions are making me nutz!!

taking my hesi at broward tomorrow morning guys! been studying the hesi review from our bookstore and trying to brush up on my math. very worried about conversions. ill post on here after to let those who are curious know how it went.

i start khan's micro and lab in north campus on the 25th also... nothing from nova yet! hope everyone is doing ok.

How was the test??? Any good news? :D Please share your experience...especially on the math part LOL

I was the same way about the math when I went in to take the test. I honestly thought I would pass everything but the math but I was wrong. Don't get worked up too much, just keep doing what you are doing and looking over the HESI review book. I had quite a few conversions, there were ratio questions, a few long division, multiplication; nothing we haven't learned in the pass. I know you will do great so no more siking yourself out!! :)

I applied 2 days ago and mine says "Application in Review" with check marks next to everything. I don't think we will be hearing anything this soon.
