Hello, this is a thread for any current nursing students at Broward college or those who have recently been accepted. I'm a bit confused on Broward's admission criteria. What classes exactly do they use to calculate the gpa?
I Do not know if you guys have seen this already but I just received the greatest shock of my life just now, and wanted to share with you guys, so I decided to sign up. Broward college updated their requirements for the nursing program for those of us who will like to start the program in 2015. The new requirements for the HESI :A2 HESI Test is required
HESI cut scores for consideration are: reading 85%; vocabulary 80%; grammar 80%; math 80%; anatomy & physiology 80%. There is a limit of only two (2) attempts for the HESI Test.
Hello everyone (=
I applied for the program in January last week and am anxiously waiting for them to start the review process. I was told they would start after the fall session got rolling.
I'm not shocked that the school would change admission criteria for the next term, they seem to always be changing things, but that would really stink if they enforce the change after we've already applied.
&I am also taking micro and lab with prof Kulangara tues/thurs this semester.
Good luck to everyone!
You guys were definitely right. I passed everything except for the anatomy!!! When the man at the desk printed my results he looked at me and said "you failed the part that everyone does" I feel like I spent so much time reviewing math that I didn't even brush up on my anatomy.
Definitely anatomy 1 primarily. As for math , that's my weak point and I scored an 85%. keep in mind I've struggled with math since I was very young. Simple solve for x basic algebra. Know your fractions and mixed number fractions when it comes to multiplying. I reviewed for conversions on YouTube: just a simple search for nursing conversions. Making a number line to understand the prefixes really helped in understanding what to convert so basically any conversion that was thrown at me I was able to calculate based on the number line I practiced with.
Overall the hesi was a breeze considering I had to pay an additional $60 to go in and pass the anatomy. Implants on doing that next week with all of my classes that start this week.
You've got this guys!
