Broward college Nursing Jan 2015

Published

Hello, this is a thread for any current nursing students at Broward college or those who have recently been accepted. I'm a bit confused on Broward's admission criteria. What classes exactly do they use to calculate the gpa?

Hi Everyone!

I'm just taking a moment to vent! The process of getting into nursing school has been a trying one but there is no stopping me! I had originally planned on applying for the May 2015 term, because for whatever reason I kept confusing the microbiology requirement as a prerequisite rather than a graduation requirement. Once I realized my error, I purchased my HESI study guides and have been studying for the past 3 weeks, I'm cutting it close and that worries me, I take the exam this week and not only am I worried about the scores (the anatomy&physiology to be exact), I'm also worried bc my transcripts still haven't been evaluated for my prior degree and prerequisites that were done at another school. Today I found out that there was an error with the transcripts that were sent, so now I plan on picking up a paper copy by hand, and delivering it to avoid issues, I'm just afraid that all of the time I've waisted will cost me a seat in January and money that I' ve put into the test. I know everything will work out as it should, I guess I just needed to get my worries out in writing and let them go from here. This thread has been so encouraging, hopefully I'll be starting with you all come January!

Hi, I applied last week for Jan 2015 and I was told today the status would be updated by the end of today. Its already 5:50 and nothing has been updated. Has anyone else who applied last week heard anything?

It is not recommended to bring anyone. There is limited seating. If you do bring someone, and they do not have enough seating for the students, your guests will be asked to step out. That is how it was in my meeting a few semesters ago.

Where exactly is Bldg 20?

The meeting is in building 22, not building 20.

3 more days...

The meeting is in building 22, not building 20.

I just realized that I read the message wrong. It is indeed Bldg 22. Thanks!!

Tomorrow is the day!!! Time is actually moving faster than I thought it would. Where are all my 1:00PM buddies lol?? What time will you guys be getting there? I want to arrive early and get a front row seat because I remember going to the orientation last semester and it was PACKED (I was in the 9:00AM session last time though).

I'm overly excited for no reason lol I already know what they'll be talking about:D

I'm also so excited because I am starting a new chapter in my life. I changed my career choice once and I know this time is right!

I am at the 9:00 am session tomorrow and will arrive hopefully by 8:00-8:15. If anyone would like to meet up please let me know. I would love to meet my fellow students and future nurses :D

Does anyone know where orientation is tomorrow on central campus, what building

It will be held on the Central Campus, Building 22, in room 136 (auditorium). .

Do we need a parking decal to park?

For tomorrow, that is...
