Hello, this is a thread for any current nursing students at Broward college or those who have recently been accepted. I'm a bit confused on Broward's admission criteria. What classes exactly do they use to calculate the gpa?
Hey can you tell me what courses exactly I have to take on CEUFast.com? Or, is there a broward website that explains this? thank you
The course names are slightly different, as are the hours. They are:
AIDS/HIV 4hr - there is an option for 2hr, be sure to select the 4hr
Domestic Violence 2hr
Medical Errors Prevention 2hr
Hepatitis C: Beyond The Basic 2hr
OSHA 1hr
Tuberculosis 2hr
Infection Control and Barrier Precautions 4hr
Congratulations to everyone who got accepted!! I have completed all of the HSC Cert hours on CEUFast.com, it was super easy and quick...and only cost $30I am currently working on the new Laws of Nursing through BC, it has a lot more reading to it, but you can take the test as many times as needed to score the 70% passing rate so it's simple enough. Now that we've been accepted I'm trying to really get everything done as soon as possible. Does anyone know if we can do the online background check now? Or do we have to wait until after the admissions meeting? I have the forms printed from Health Science admissions with the package code, just want to be sure this is the correct code for all incoming nursing students.
If you haven't gone to the pre admission meeting then wait. There's a lot of info they relay there and if you do anything without guidance and you create errors, they WILL drop you. Sadly. Even registering has a process, you can't register like the prerequisites. We had a student dropped because they signed up willy nilly and I wasn't able to register. They found out why and she was dropped.
I'm signed up to take the test in 2 weeks do you think that's a good enough time? I'm going to Central tomorrow
I think you will be fine. I remember people were still being accepted even after we went to the pre-admission orientation for the August term (I deferred my seat). So turn in your application tomorrow and just take your Hesi when you can. It's open ended until all seats are filled and you never know some people may defer their seats. Good luck :)
