Hi! I know it's pretty early to start a thread for fall but I just wanted to see somewhat of what other people have in their classes and HESI. I have to retake the anatomy portion of the test but everything else I passed, and I have a GPA of 3.18. Also, I was in another nursing program before this and didn't do so well because of what was going on in my life during that time. Do you think this will be a big issue regarding getting in??
Good idea!Hi my name is Taylor and I am hoping to attend north campus. I currently work in quality control but looking forward to starting my career as a nurse. Right now I am most interested in NICU or L&D but who knows! I heard clinicals can make you completely change your mind. I have a 3.875 GPA and scored a 90% on the HESI. I am in Microbiology now, have my first exam today. Yikes. This course definitely seems harder than A&P in my opinion. Guess I should get used to it since I heard nursing courses are 100x worse than any pre-req. If you are attending North campus (or hoping to) let me know! It's always good to connect with people going through the same thing as you. (:
My goal was to go into NICU and L&D as well! I'm also applied to north campus! :)
Is anyone worried about the program because of the statistics. It's kind of concerning to me. All nursing schools are hard but BC is just crazyyyyy
I'm honestly not that worried... of course I know that nursing school is definitely no easy walk in the park and that community college programs tend to be even harder than university programs. However, my mom also attended BC's nursing program a little over a decade ago while she had to take care of me as a toddler, was pregnant, was an older student, had a full-time job, and providing for a single-income household.
Knowing my mom went through the stressors of nursing school and had all of what she had on her plate (and more) gives me so much motivation and confidence. I hope what she went through can give older students confident as well. For younger students who might not have as much to deal with, it should be doable. No matter what, I'm super prepared to buckle down hardcore and power through. :)

That's very inspiring....congrats to your mom. It gives me motivation.
Does anyone know how many meetings and stuff we will have before classes begin once we find out we are accepted? I know there's the mandatory orientation but am trying to figure out if I should expect anything else??
Trying to plan out my summer because God knows we will be very busy once school starts!

I just emailed the coordinator and she said That I have nothing to worry. They have a lot of o applicants to process and they have 30 days to do so.
