Hi! I know it's pretty early to start a thread for fall but I just wanted to see somewhat of what other people have in their classes and HESI. I have to retake the anatomy portion of the test but everything else I passed, and I have a GPA of 3.18. Also, I was in another nursing program before this and didn't do so well because of what was going on in my life during that time. Do you think this will be a big issue regarding getting in??
Hey everyone,I turned my application about one week before the deadline. 3.4 pre req GPA. Application in review.
Fingers crossed for everyone!
Good morning, everyone! I was thinking, maybe we can all introduce eachother since we'll be spending a good amount of time together (depending on which campus we choose)
- My name is Florinda but everyone calls me Flori or Flo
- I've worked in the ER at Memorial Miramar for 7 years and love it.
- Really hoping to go to Central! South is my backup since North is way too far for me.
- HESI score of 93% (surprised me since I didn't know the math would have so many damn ratios which I haven't done since like 4th grade).
- Overall GPA is a 4.0 but I'm taking Micro now and I'm praying that doesn't ruin my streak lol.
- My IG is gowtheflo_
Excited to meet you all :)
I have a 3.875 and got a 90% on the HESI. I think we'll be good hopefully! :) If you read back on last years forums, everyone with a 3.4 got in and everyone below that was either rejected or deferred. My advisor also told me that a 3.4 is usually the lowest they accept.
I heard 3.1-3.0 is the lowest they accept. 2.99-3.09 are usually deferred, according to my advisor, depending on the year.

Good idea!
Hi my name is Taylor and I am hoping to attend north campus. I currently work in quality control but looking forward to starting my career as a nurse. Right now I am most interested in NICU or L&D but who knows! I heard clinicals can make you completely change your mind. I have a 3.875 GPA and scored a 90% on the HESI. I am in Microbiology now, have my first exam today. Yikes. This course definitely seems harder than A&P in my opinion. Guess I should get used to it since I heard nursing courses are 100x worse than any pre-req. If you are attending North campus (or hoping to) let me know! It's always good to connect with people going through the same thing as you. (:
Yes! I paid the fee. I also got an email from the coordinator that they received my application.
Oh ok then i would say you should be good. Maybe your major isnt correct or something. When I applied to Broward initially and said I was applying to the nursing program, that page automatically was application in review before I even turned anything in.
