Broward College nursing fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi! I know it's pretty early to start a thread for fall but I just wanted to see somewhat of what other people have in their classes and HESI. I have to retake the anatomy portion of the test but everything else I passed, and I have a GPA of 3.18. Also, I was in another nursing program before this and didn't do so well because of what was going on in my life during that time. Do you think this will be a big issue regarding getting in??

Hey Everyone!

I literally applied just a couple of days ago. I had the hardest times with obtaining my transcripts. Anyways! My pre-req GPA gpa is 4.0 (for BSC2085/86/L and didn't have to take ENC1101) and I scored a 91% on the HESI.

Good luck to everyone!

Yay! I'm happy y'all are responding lol... you're right though, we still have a bit to go. I have a 4.0 and my HESI score was a 93% so I'm just excited and ready to meet you all and start on this journey! :)

I think you are right; usually, there are lots of posts and people asking the same thing over and over, maybe now know everything?

I got 80ish on my Hesi and a 4 GPA. How was Micro for you? I think it is complicated, any advice?

Are you taking micro now? I'm taking it now for 6 weeks and it seems difficult.

I took General Microbiology at FIU but I wasn't given credit for it when I look at my degree audit. I hope I don't have to take it again but if I do I'll do it over the summer.

I had my first day of micro yesterday and it's A LOT, but seems very doable. Make sure to take it before the program because it'll be so difficult to take it while in the program.

Yeah my first day of micro was Monday too. Lol we probably have the same professor, do you have khan at North Campus?

I turned in my application about a week before the deadline. I have a 3.7 pre-req GPA and scored an 89% on the HESI, but my application is still in review, so I am patiently waiting along with all of you. :) I've been lurking around for a while, but it's about time I post something! I'm applying to north campus. :D

Haha! Nope I'm taking Conrad at south :)

I have Kahn too!

I got a 86% overall on the HESI but unfortunately I had some things going on when I was taking Anat 2 + Lab and got Cs, my GPA is probably a 2.7 with the pre-reqs. I guess my question is, do I even have a chance of getting in?

My advisor wouldn't sign off on my application until grades were posted for A&P2. So basically on May 8th when they were in she signed off and I submitted the application that day, a week before the cut-off.

I have a 3.875 and got a 90% on the HESI. I think we'll be good hopefully! :) If you read back on last years forums, everyone with a 3.4 got in and everyone below that was either rejected or deferred. My advisor also told me that a 3.4 is usually the lowest they accept.
