Anyone Applying to the May 2017 program? I wanted to get into the January program but I was missing a math class and couldn't complete it in time for the January program.
So just to be clear I read something and want to make sure I'm reading correctly if we apply for financial aid now it won't include summer term ? So we would have to pay out of pocket or get a loan for summer ? And can someone explain the work force grant to me please I heard you have to be a broward county resident and I'll be moving up there soon from Miami but I want to know how it works. Do you guys recommend I start appalling for financial aid now?
From my understanding a new fasfa needs to be compeleted now for the school term Aug 2017-May 2018 just so the school has time to process it. Dont want to wait to till the last min. If you went to school for the aug 2016-may 2017 school year then your fasfa should be fine if Bc was added as one of your schools. 2016/2017 covers the summer term if you have aid available. for me I went to school both fall and spring term so if I used all the money that could be awarded in that school term aug 2016-may 2017 I would have to pay out of pocket.

Yes would I need to apply now in order for me to receive that scholarship for May term? or would I need to wait until I'm actually enrolled in school to be eligible for the workforce scholarship?

Hey everyone!
I'm new to the forum but I've been silently looking through everyone's posts. It was helpful to see everyone's information and support. I am also applying for the May admissions, this is my first time applying. I have switched from school to school, including FAU. I passed the HESI with a 91.2% BUT from the looks of it, with 6 points from my prereq GPA I'm not as likely to get in. I'm a little disappointed, but I'm TRYING to remain optimistic. I took the ENC1101 credit in high school from my AP class, I didn't realize the actual score had a letter grade to it so I ended up getting a B for the credit. -_- I'm so good at English now, I even got an A in ENC1102. So I have straight B's through out my prereqs and it's bumming me out since it's not enough and I only have 6 points. The waiting is giving me so much anxiety... If I don't get accepted I'll have to retake ENC1101 which will bring me up to 9 points, which is probably better leverage. I was hoping that they'd really consider the HESI score because I did so well...
Anyways, I hope that we ALL get the acceptance letters sooooon!!!!
Welcome. Nice to meet you!! 6 points is good. don't get discouraged. May usually has less people apply to the program. If you look back a few pages I posted an excerpt from may 2016 forum. I believe they accepted students from 16-6 points. Hopefully we will know my next Friday. Fingers crossed.
