Anyone Applying to the May 2017 program? I wanted to get into the January program but I was missing a math class and couldn't complete it in time for the January program.
I love memorial hospitals. I had such a good experience there when I had surgery in May. The nurses are so caring. I see a lot of chamberlain grads at memorial. Central is my second option. With 95 traffic I don't want to risk ever being late to clinicals or class
I could do north or central, but I think I'm going to try for Central because I live near downtown ft lauderdale and I'd most likely want to eventually work in the Memorial or Broward hospital system.
First you have to sign up with employ Florida, and do the online orientation for the grant program. Once that is completed you can pick up a packet. If you don't have an associates you have to take the tabe test. So because I'm in the medical field I could possibly qualify for the grant because I want to enhance my skills. However, because I currently have a job its going to be hard. Because with the grant they want you to be looking for a job. the grant is geared around obtaining a job. So I would basically have to quit my job in advance to possibly be able to get the grant. However, that's my perception of how I took it when i spoke with the advocate that handles the program. I went to the one in coconut creek. So I'm not sure if other sites does things differently. If I get accepted I'm going to go to another location myself. I really need all the money I can get.
Thank you so much for the info! I'll look into it and keep you posted. I might go to the one on Oakland and see what they say there. Good luck with it!
