Anyone else palnning on applying for May 2011. Im currently in the process of transferring back to broward and I am planning on applying for May. I have all my pre-reqs done and I already took and passed the HESI, and I also have HOSA so I think I may be in a good position(fingers crossed). I just need to take Micro & I plan on taking that in the winter term. If anyone can recommend a teacher I would greatly appreciate it.

They sent a bunch of e-mails... one said there's no orientation before class starts. That's a bit upsetting, considering buying the books costs around a thousand bucks in the bookstore. I want to get them online.

FYI: Walgreens has a sale right now where physicals are only $35 at their in-store clinic. It runs til the end of April - just in case anyone needs one and doesn't have insurance.

I was also a bit upset when I saw that we won't have orientation until the week of classes

Does anybody know where to get a titer done WITHOUT paying for a physical, too? I've called five places and either they don't do it or you have to pay $70+ for a physical along with the test. Stupid price gouging...

So do we need to buy scrubs books?

There is a booklist at this link for fall 2010-summer 2011. I already bought my books. I didn't buy pharm or math because a friend told me we don't really use them. In all it cost me around 300 with shipping. I used amazon.

Hope this helps.

That helps a lot. Does anyone know if the book list is the same for both campuses?

Also if anyone needs to take a BLS class, Nursing Unlimited has a class this Friday at Plantation General Hospital and the class cost $90 and they will give you an additional 10% off for being a student..You can give them a call if interested in taking the class 305-651-1431

I will be at that class too! I was signed up to take the class at the end of April at Broward, but it was about twice as expensive, longer and I did not want to wait until the last minute to get my card.

I will be there also! I got my book in the mail today. And the thing I like about them the price includes the book unlike at Broward where you have to pay to take the class and pay an additional fee for the book at the bookstoe
