Just wanted to start a thread for Broward's May '16 RN program! I'm finishing up my application process this week.

My hesi was a 87% overall, with 90's in Math, Reading, and Vocabulary, an 84% in grammar, and a 80% in AP.

My prerequisite GPA is a 4.0

Process 1 LAB/CLINICAL syllabus ...review skills on you tube. we also have to have physical assessment down packed. youtube " physical assessment broward college" someone recorded a good one a few years back. familiarize your self with it. its one for many skills you have to do at return demo aka your clinical lab test before you go off to the hospital.

PHARM. he is so nice ... his exams are straight from the slides. you can get away with studying a few nights a head of it. but for process. start now. not even kidding. try and read everything you need for process 1 by May.

perry and potter fund. of nursing 8th ed. not sure if the 9th will be out by the time you start

you really can't work. out side of class your busting your back to be in the lab practicing your clinical skills. they require you to be in the lab every week for at least 2 hours. and you have to document that you are. save all the money you can now and know what your bills are each month because you will have to take a loan to pay them. they say its only the first semester you shouldn't work. I work about 9 hours a week and its still killing me. its a tough program but they all really care about you and want you to be the best of the best here. so plan ahead and save for at least 16 weeks worth of bills.

unfortunately i don't have a choice I will need to work throughout the program.

I believe anything is doable as long as you set yourself up correctly ;)

what is the math like, how is it taught? I was using two different books, a kaplan math for nurses which gives an easy overview, and another book that solely uses dimensional analysis....
